One of my favorite pieces by the great John Renbourn, the guitarist who more than any other one inspired me and gave birth to my endless love for fingerpicking guitar. He was a virtuous guitarist, arranger and composer of music for the acoustic guitar since the late 60s, when he played with Bert Jansch in the Pentangle band, famous for the musical genre that expertly blended jazz, folk and blues in an original and captivating mix of high quality. John had a great solo career before, during and after the band's existence, too. The Moon Shines Bright, very enjoyable to play, is a set of variations based on a traditional English Christmas melody. The arrangement proposed here, of medium / medium-high complexity, is faithful to that of John, present in his valuable tablature book "Solo guitar pieces", with which it obviously cannot and does not want to be compared !!!
